1. About the service
Mein Spartopf is a cashback service that gives you money back when you shop with our partner stores via links on meinspartopf.de. The service is free to use. Your contracting party is Monsen AS (Norwegian company registration number 931 063 499), Inger Bang Lunds vei 5, 5059 Bergen, Norway.
2. Registration
To use the service you need an account. You must be at least 18 years old. You sign in with your email address or with your Google account. You are responsible for keeping your login details safe, and for what happens through your account.
3. How cashback works
- Cashback arises when you click an affiliate link via Mein Spartopf and make a purchase that the store confirms.
- The cashback rate differs between partner stores and may change without notice. The rate shown at the moment you click through is the one that applies.
- It can take as long as 90 days before a store confirms a purchase.
- Returns, cancellations and withdrawn purchases earn no cashback. If you exercise your right of withdrawal towards the store, the cashback belonging to that purchase lapses.
- Cashback is calculated on the basis of Mein Spartopf's share of the partner's commission and is stated in euros (EUR).
4. Payout
Confirmed cashback can be paid out to you once your balance is at least €10. The payout runs through a payment link from Revolut that you open and fill in yourself, so we never ask for your IBAN. We send the link to the email address that belongs to your account.
5. Limitations
- Ad blockers and the blocking of cookies can prevent tracking, and then no cashback is recorded.
- Cashback cannot be guaranteed: it depends on whether the partner confirms the purchase.
- Misuse of the service (invented purchases, accounts in other people's names) leads to exclusion and to the lapse of cashback that has not yet been paid out.
6. Liability
Mein Spartopf brings you and the stores together. We sell nothing ourselves and are not liable for products, deliveries, complaints or disputes with the stores: for the purchase, the store is your contracting party. Cashback amounts shown before a purchase is confirmed are estimates and may differ from the final payout.
7. Changes
We may change these terms with 30 days' notice by email or in the service. If you continue to use the service after the change has taken effect, you thereby accept the new terms. If you do not agree, you may close your account free of charge.
8. Mein Spartopf for businesses
Mein Spartopf for businesses, the subscription for stores and service providers, is not yet offered in Germany. Sections 1 to 7 therefore apply to the service for consumers. If you want to work with us as a store, that runs through the affiliate networks, see for partners. Once the subscription for businesses exists in Germany, separate terms will apply to it, which you accept on registration.
9. Right of withdrawal and complaints
Mein Spartopf is free for you as a consumer: you buy nothing from us, so there is nothing to withdraw from towards us either. The right of withdrawal concerns the purchase you make at the store: for a distance purchase you normally have a withdrawal period of 14 days, counted from the day you received the goods. You exercise this right of withdrawal towards the store, not towards us. If the purchase is withdrawn or sent back, the cashback that the purchase produced lapses.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your case, please contact us first at hallo@meinspartopf.de. If we get no further together, you can turn to the European Consumer Centre Germany (evz.de), which advises free of charge on cross-border purchases within the EU and the EEA, and therefore, because we are based in Norway, on your case with us as well. We are neither obliged nor willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration body.
10. Applicable law and place of jurisdiction
The contract is concluded with Monsen AS in Norway. German law applies in so far as mandatory German consumer protection provisions require it; beyond that, Norwegian law applies. As a consumer resident in Germany you never lose the protection that follows from mandatory German provisions. You may always sue us where you live in Germany, or, if you prefer that, before the Bergen District Court (Bergen tingrett), and we may sue you only before a German court. For disputes in which no consumer is involved, the Bergen District Court has jurisdiction.
